# Accessibility

Effective October 18, 2026. Applies to LockCommand, made by JANZAY LLC.

## The short version

We want everyone to be able to use lockcommand.com and the LockCommand app, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or voice control. We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA. If something gets in your way, email us and we'll reply within 5 business days.

### On this page

## Our target

We aim to meet the **Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA** on this website and in the LockCommand app. That's a target we work toward, not a claim that every screen already meets it. When we find a gap, we fix it or list it below.

## What this covers

- This website, lockcommand.com.
- The LockCommand app on iPhone and Android, and the web app in a browser.
- Texts and invoice pages that shops send to their customers through LockCommand.

## What we check on the website

- Every page works with a keyboard alone: menus, questions and links can be reached and opened with Tab, Enter and Space, with a visible focus ring.
- A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen reader user reaches.
- Each page has one main heading, headings in order, and named landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer).
- Text and controls are checked for color contrast. Color is never the only way we show meaning.
- Pages still work when zoomed to 200% and on narrow phone screens, without sideways scrolling for normal text.
- Buttons and links are large enough to tap on a phone.
- Animations are short and turn off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Menus and questions on this website work without JavaScript.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers.
- Every page has a plain text copy in Markdown, for tools that read text better than web pages.

## The app

The app has the same target. We're working toward screen reader labels on every control, text that follows your phone's text size setting, good contrast and large tap targets, so it works with VoiceOver, TalkBack and larger text. The app is newer than the website, so expect more gaps there, and please tell us about them.

## For a shop's customers

- Shops answer calls with an AI receptionist that speaks English or Spanish. Callers can ask for a person, and the AI transfers them when the shop has set a transfer number.
- If a shop has texting turned on, you can text the shop's number instead of calling.
- Job updates, invoices and receipts come by text, so you can read them at your own pace.

## Known gaps

- Some wide tables, such as plan, comparison and policy tables, scroll sideways on small phones. Their content is still read by screen readers in row order.
- The AI receptionist works by voice. A caller who can't use voice should text the shop, where the shop has texting turned on.

If you find a gap we haven't listed, please tell us.

## Other companies' pages

Some steps happen on other companies' pages, such as checkout pages from Stripe, Square or PayPal, and the Google Play and App Store pages. We can't change those pages, but tell us about a barrier and we'll pass it on and help you another way.

## How we test

- Automated checks on every important page before release.
- Testing by hand with a keyboard and a screen reader.
- Checks at 200% zoom and on a 360-pixel-wide phone screen.

## Report a barrier

If something on the website or in the app gets in your way, email [support@lockcommand.com](mailto:support@lockcommand.com?subject=Accessibility%20barrier%20on%20LockCommand) with the subject "Accessibility barrier". It helps to include:

- the page address or the app screen,
- what you were trying to do and what happened,
- the device, browser or assistive technology you use, if you're comfortable sharing it.

**We aim to reply within 5 business days.** If a fix will take longer, we'll say so and help you get what you need another way in the meantime, for example by email.

## Other formats

If you need any of our policies in another format, such as plain text or large print, email us and we'll send it.

## Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, go to [support@lockcommand.com](mailto:support@lockcommand.com). A person reads every message.
